God gives me courage to face fear.
Courage doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid. Courage means you face the fear with God’s power!
In the Bible story, Queen Esther showed courage when she was afraid. She knew the king could have her killed for visiting him without an invitation. But she did it anyway because she had to stand up for her people.
She showed more courage when she told the King that Haman was going to destroy her people. She didn’t know how it would turn out, especially with Haman there in the room. But she did it, and God honored her courage by saving her people!
