Resting in His Embrace
Father, I so want to be the strong one, the one who has it all together. Help me to admit my need of your strength and receive your embrace.
The embrace of the Father is full of love and compassion. It is deeply healing. To receive this embrace is a choice – a choice to stop running and rest; a choice to come close enough to be seen in all our dirt and weakness; a choice to turn our face to the Father and not away; a choice to rest our head on His chest and to allow His strength to hold us.
For reflection: Not all embraces are welcome – do you trust the embrace of Father God?
