Perfect In Love
I’ve heard 1 John 4:18 read many times at weddings and it truly is a beautiful scripture to reflect upon. God is perfection in every way and without any faults or sin. His love towards us is perfect in every way as well. It’s completely unconditional and given away extravagantly.
As much as we’d like to think we fear nothing in life, at times we do. The hope we have as Christians is that in the midst of whatever we fear, we can turn and rest in God’s love knowing that His love overshadows even the greatest fear. When fear may try and creep in, we need not fight with pride or our strength but with the perfect love found in our God. A love so perfect that He would send His son Jesus to die on the cross for us! This perfect love conquered fear forever!
What are you afraid of? Take all your fears, multiply them by 100, and then place them on the scale called God’s love. His love makes even the biggest fear look so small.
