The Spirit of God lives in the hearts of believers

I don’t know about you, but I often feel inadequate to live up to the high and holy standards that I know God wants of me. I know what God desires, and yet I know my own sins and weaknesses all too well. Sometimes I wonder if God can still love me.

God takes away my fear by giving me a helper--his Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God, the third person of the Holy Trinity, lives in the hearts of believers to give us the wisdom and strength and the courage and conviction that we need.

The Bible says in Romans 8:16, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
