The Prevailing Lifeഉദാഹരണം

A prevailing life cannot be lived on human strength alone; it requires being built up by the Word of God. Jesus declared, “Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18 KJV).

Here, Jesus uses two words: petros (a small stone) and petra (bedrock). The Church is not built on shifting sand, but on the solid rock of revelation knowledge; the unshakable truth of who Christ is. Revelation from God’s Word is the foundation upon which our lives are strengthened and made immovable.

The Word of His grace is able to build us up and give us an inheritance among the saints (Acts 20:32). Without revelation, we remain weak; but with it, we become fortified to withstand opposition.

How do we get built up?

1. Desire the Word (1 Peter 2:2).

2. Receive revelation and illumination (Psalm 119:130).

3. Develop your faith (Romans 10:17).

4. Speak the Word (Joshua 1:8a).

5. Meditate on the Word (Joshua 1:8b).

6. Live out the Word (James 1:21; Joshua 1:8).

7. Receive Christ, the Living Word (John 1:1, 12–14).

When we anchor our lives on Christ, the Living Word, and continually feed on Scripture, we are built strong, immovable, and victorious. A prevailing life is a Word-built life.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to hunger and thirst after Your Word. Build me up by the revelation of Your truth, and strengthen my faith. May I not only hear but also meditate, speak, and live out Your Word daily. Let Your Word make me unshakable and victorious in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
