Letting God In: Allowing Him To Rebuild What Was Broken

Sometimes we look at the damage in our lives and think, There’s no coming back from this. We see the wreckage of what was—relationships that ended, choices that hurt others, years lost to addiction or fear—and wonder how anything good could come from it. But God never looks at ruins and walks away. He’s the God who rebuilds.

One of the most beautiful moments in ministry is watching someone begin to believe that again. I’ve seen men and women who were sure their story was over begin to dream again. Not because their circumstances instantly changed, but because God gave them new eyes to see what could be.

Scripture is full of promises that God will restore what was lost, redeem what was broken, and bring beauty from the ashes. That doesn’t always mean everything goes back to the way it was. Often, it means He creates something even better—something rooted in grace, resilience, and deep dependence on Him.

Letting God in means letting Him have the final word on your story. It means trusting that the Author of your life knows how to write a new chapter, one filled with purpose, healing, and hope.

Maybe today you can’t imagine how anything good could come from where you’ve been. But the God who makes all things new isn’t finished yet. Allow Him to start the rebuild.

Prayer:
God, sometimes I look at the mess and wonder how anything good could come from it. I believe You’re the God who rebuilds. I give You the broken pieces and trust You with what comes next. Thank You for being a God who restores, renews, and never gives up on me. Amen.

Some moments change everything. A phone rings. A door slams. Words are spoken that can’t be taken back. Suddenly, the life you were holding onto begins to slip through your hands. You start to pull away, not because you’ve stopped believing, but because you don’t know how to pray from a place like this. It hurts. It’s messy. It’s not what you pictured. God hasn’t gone anywhere. He isn’t asking you to be fine or to have the right words. He’s just waiting for you to let Him in.
