Heaven (Part 1)ഉദാഹരണം

What Is Heaven Like?
Have you ever imagined what Heaven will truly be like? The Bible gives us glimpses of it – each one filling us with awe and wonder.
When I think of the most breathtaking places I’ve seen in my travels, I know they will pale in comparison to the beauty and glory of Heaven.
Revelation 21:1-4 offers a stunning vision:
‘Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away... I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people... He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away"' (NIV).
I remember visiting Jerusalem with my wife, Kerrie, when we went to Israel in 2015. We climbed the mountain in the coach up from Jericho and eventually went into a tunnel as we approached Jerusalem. As we came out, we were greeted by the most amazing sight of the city and thought it was spectacular even then!
Heaven is a place of breathtaking beauty and complete restoration where God will live among His people forever. Imagine:
- No more pain or sickness. Bodies made whole, free from suffering.
- No more tears or grief. Every sorrow was replaced with joy and peace.
- No more death. Life eternal, celebrating in God’s presence.
And that’s just the beginning!
The Bible reveals more about Heaven:
- Radiant glory. Revelation 21:23 says, 'The glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp' (NIV).
- Perfect joy and worship. Revelation 7:9-10 shows a vast multitude from every nation, united in adoration of God.
- Abundance. Revelation 22:1-2 describes the river of life and the tree of life, providing for all in every season.
Yet, what makes Heaven truly extraordinary isn’t just found in its beauty, the surroundings that we are in or the changes we will have experienced.
We will be in the presence of God! Heaven is where we will see Him face to face (see 1 Corinthians 13:12).
It’s where love, justice, and peace reign forever.
Heaven isn’t a distant dream; it’s a real promise to those who trust in Jesus. It’s not just a destination. It’s where brokenness ends, and wholeness begins.
Heaven is a place of relationship and for relationships.
Right now, our understanding of Heaven is like seeing a reflection in a mirror, dim and incomplete (see 1 Corinthians 13:12). But one day, that reflection will give way to reality.
We will see God face to face, no longer hindered by doubt or limitation. The questions and mysteries we carry now will be answered as we know Him fully, even as He fully knows us. Heaven will be the place of ultimate clarity and communion with God.
Reflect
- How does this vision of Heaven inspire you? Does it give you hope, purpose, and peace for today?
- Are you living in anticipation of this promise?
Let’s hold on to this truth as we journey deeper into the hope of Heaven together.
Pray
Lord, thank You for revealing glimpses of the beauty, joy, and peace of Heaven through Your Word. Fill my heart with awe and hope as I look forward to the day when I’ll see Heaven in its full glory and meet You face to face. Until then, anchor me in Your love and truth. Amen.
