Why is Jesus praised with these seven attributes?

Revelation 4-5 depicts the calm before the storm of the Tribulation. God sits upon the throne and is worshiped as Creator (Revelation 4:11). Since He created the universe, including all people, the Father has the right to judge both. As He sits upon the throne, the question is offered, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?" (Revelation 5:2). John weeps over the sin of the world as revealed through their unworthiness to open the scroll (Revelation 5:34). Suddenly Jesus emerges on the scene and takes the scroll, which will unleash the seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments upon the world. The resurrected Lamb of God then receives the sevenfold praises as the Worthy One!

Employment Point: Worship Jesus, who is worthy to be praised for all eternity.
