May 14 – The Scripture and Spiritual Growth

Spiritual growth is directly tied to engagement with Scripture. Just as physical growth requires nourishment, spiritual growth requires the Word of God. Without consistent intake of the Scriptures, growth becomes slow or stagnant.

This matters because growth is not automatic. It requires intentional engagement with the Word. The more a believer feeds on Scripture, the more they develop in understanding, maturity, and stability.

When Scripture is neglected, growth is hindered. Believers remain at the same level, lacking depth and strength. This leads to vulnerability and inconsistency in the Christian life.

DAILY EXERCISE
Set a fixed time for daily Scripture reading.
Commit to it and begin immediately.

PRAYER
Father, help me to grow through Your Word. Give me discipline and consistency in engaging Scripture. I pray for believers, students, leaders, and families across Nigeria that they will grow steadily through Your Word. Lord, we ask that across nations, Your people will mature spiritually. Strengthen the Church worldwide to grow in depth and understanding.

CONFESSION
I grow daily through the Word of God. I am strong, stable, and mature in faith.

READING BIBLE PLAN (RBP):
Day 14: Mark 12–14
Look out for: Jesus’ warnings and teachings; watchfulness; preparation for the cross.
