God is our Hope

1. Spend a few moments praising God for being our Hope.

Definition: One who is our confidence, trust, expectation, or desire

2. Next, spend a few moments silently confessing your sins to our loving God who forgives.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (NASB)

3. Now, let's spend some time thanking our heavenly Father for the many ways He has been our Hope.

In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB)

4. Then, let us pray: God of hope, may You fill me with all joy and peace as I trust in You, so that I may overflow with hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. From Romans 15:13

Lastly, put your child’s name (or someone who needs prayer) in the scripture prayer: God of hope, may You fill ________ with all joy and peace as he/she trusts in You, so that ________ may overflow with hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. From Romans 15:13

Remembering Who God Is This Christmas Season

Moms in Prayer uses the Four Steps of Prayer method to engage our hearts in relationship with our loving Father. Each day's plan calls us to focus on a unique attribute of God to help us keep Him at the center of this Christmas season. This plan uses the steps of Praise, Confession (Repentance), Thanksgiving, Intercession (asking for help with whatever we or our loved ones are facing). Each prayer is accompanied by Bible passages that give us a deeper understanding of God's attributes.
