God's Assignment: Living on Purposeಮಾದರಿ

When Fear Meets Faith
Deuteronomy 1:29–30
Then I said to you, “Do not be in dread or afraid of them. The Lord your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes.”
Devotional:
Santiago and his wife, Mariana, are accustomed to fear. They plant churches in Colombia’s “red zones,” areas controlled by guerrilla and paramilitary groups. These groups target Christians because they view Christians as a threat to their movements. Followers of Christ refuse to join the groups’ violent cause. When one of their members becomes a Christian, they leave the group. Despite the danger and their own fear, Christians continue to share God’s Word and shepherd churches. “What helps me continue is the desire in my heart,” said Mariana, whose relatives have been killed by paramilitaries. “I don’t care about threats; I don’t care about violence. What fills me [with] the most joy is when I take a Bible to people who are intimidated.”
Be inspired by Santiago and Mariana to move forward in obedience to Christ today.
