God's Purposes in Motherhoodಮಾದರಿ

Philippians 1:6

I don't know if you have ever stopped to reflect about the purposes of your life. Perhaps you have already discovered what your purposes are and have understood the areas of skill and ability that the Lord wants to use you in.

It turns out that at some point in our lives, we are also called to the purpose of being a mom! And this is where many internal conflicts, crises, and questions may happen, because we are faced with a new reality that demands so much from us. Sometimes, we feel lost and even begin to doubt the other purposes that were once revealed to us. So many “Whys” and “What ifs” come to our minds.

When I became a mother, I felt exactly like that, and there were countless times that I questioned the Lord about what He expected from me. As the days went by, God helped me understand that motherhood is a true school. There are so many things to learn, not just about how to take care of a baby or raise a child, but mainly about who we are in God and what He expects of us.

Motherhood is not, and never will be, a weight, a burden, or a setback. Motherhood is a place of refinement. We are refined in so many areas - our dependence on the Lord, our intimacy with the Father, our trust in a powerful and attentive God, our emotional management, and more.

God uses motherhood to enhance maternity so that we can also fulfill the other purposes of our lives. It was only after I became a mom that the idea of having writing began to be uncovered before my eyes, and today I'm here sharing this reflection with you. I was, and continue to be, refined - because that is the will of our Lord.

Allow Him to refine you through motherhood. It will certainly bring more lightness and new perspectives to your everyday life. There are so many gifts from the Lord waiting to be poured into your heart - and I'm not even talking about daily doses of cuteness from our little ones.
