Oh Lord, your love is more powerful than the mightiest tsunami, except that love’s force is life-giving rather than destructive. It can wash a sinful heart clean, redirect the course of a person’s life, and change the atmosphere of entire nations. Every believer has been overwhelmed and bowled over by your great love. Every one of us, at some point in our lives, surrendered to the grand wave of your redeeming love, the agape of eternal faithfulness. It’s absolutely true that your kindness softens the stubborn hearts of rebellious sinners and draws them into the family of God (Romans 2:4)—myself included!

Father, help me to never lose sight of your wonderful love. May it never become commonplace in my life. I want to walk every day in the joy of knowing that you love me. And Lord, help me to live out of your love so that my interactions with others are fueled by it. Help me to become an ambassador of your love to those who have never fully experienced it.

How has God’s love transformed you lately?

Thank your Heavenly Father for pursuing you even in your apathy and stubbornness. Daily soften your heart to him and experience the full embrace of his love.
