Day 2: Let us be a Fragrance of Worship

One way to show our love for God is through worship. When we worship the Lord, we proclaim His majesty, His attributes, and the great works that only He can do. A person who loves God will constantly live a life of worship and will be a sweet aroma on the throne of the Most High. When we live a life worshipping the Lord, our children learn to love God and will be able to create an intimate and trusting relationship with their Heavenly Father. That is why it is very important that we put aside actions of the flesh, such as complaining, arguing, and shouting. And we will work better to create an atmosphere of worship to God that produces peace and unity.

Friend, one of my favorite passages in the Bible is the one about the woman who poured her perfume on Jesus' feet and wiped them with her hair. What a humble, yet intentional act on her part. A true act of admiration and submission to Jesus. God has given us everything, and truly the only thing we can give back for so much love and mercy is our worship.

The Bible refers to the church as the Lamb's bride. When Jesus died on the cross at Calvary, He opened a way for our salvation and adopted us as his own. We are his church, and He will return for us, just as a bridegroom returns for his bride. Worshiping God helps us maintain fellowship with Him, await his return, and give off the aroma of Christ.

Beloved, as we await Jesus' second coming, we will experience moments that will challenge our commitment, love, and worship of God. But we must abandon ourselves, give all we have, and break ourselves before our God.

Let's pray. Dear Lord, we want to break ourselves before you. We want to abandon ourselves before you because we are waiting for your second coming.

We want to maintain fellowship with you, Father. That's why we want to live a life of worship, first of all, because You deserve the glory and the honor, but also, Lord, because we wanna be connected to you all the time, proclaiming the beautiful, beautiful love that you have for us, your mercy, and your compassion.

We thank you Lord, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
