Humble Dependence
‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Abba, my compassionate Father, for too many days of my life, I have foolishly felt myself sufficient and competent, and those days I did not seek or cry out to You.
I now choose the path of understanding my weaknesses and inadequacies, along with my need to meet with You, talk with You, and call out to You every morning for Your help and deliverance.
In humility, I find Your strength, and in dependence, I discover Your boundless grace. Teach me to lean on You daily, trusting that Your power sustains me through every trial. I know that this is a prayer that Your heart delights to hear and answer.
