LOVE Is the Answer

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God" (1John 4:7).

How are we fully known? By our love. Do I express love on a minute-to-minute basis? Am I portraying Christ's love in my words and deeds every single day? These are big-deal questions to ask oneself. The Bible has much to say about love, being at the forefront of all our intentions, actions, reactions, and words.

There is no way to lead someone that you care about toward Christ without first having a loving spirit as you work toward the mark for the prize of God. Love has to be the core of who you are in all intentions manifested to reach the lost. If you struggle to love people, you may want to conduct a heart check because the Bible is clear that you cannot be "of God" and not love. God IS love!

We are known as God's disciples when we have love for one another (John 13:34-35). Sometimes, it's easier to love a stranger than it is to love your own family and friends in different situations and circumstances. It can be challenging to bring out the disciple within myself when a close loved one is being difficult, attacking, frustrating, or just plain hard to deal with (Matt 5:46). Even so, I must love my immediate family all the more. We are held accountable and responsible for "our household." Your "first ministry" is your family and inner circle (1 Tim.5:8). We are called to a higher standard of love with our immediate family, friends, and neighbors.

Scripture tells us to love our neighbor, at least ten times! It must be a huge deal to Him that we express and do out of love at all times. God tells us that we cannot love Him and hate anyone (1 John 4:20). Who is our neighbor? Anyone that we encounter!

We can't even begin to know how to properly and fully love without Christ! We love, because HE first loved us! (1 John 4:19)

Not that you should do "some" things in love, but "Let ALL that you do, be done in love" (1 Cor. 16:14).

John 3:16 starts with, "for God SO LOVED..." It was out of love that He gave the ultimate sacrifice for us, so why should we give any less in love toward one another?
