What Your Heart Already Knows

"But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect - life in its fullness until you overflow." John 10:10b (TPT)

Life's pain can drown out the hope-filled whispers of God in your heart. Disappointment, loss, anxiety, or fear often make us believe the lie that we don't deserve God's abundance. But Jesus makes it clear: His promise is not survival, it's overflow. Even when we feel broken or unworthy, God has already written eternity into our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

The invitation before us is to listen again - to listen to the divine wisdom already present and available. The wisdom of our hearts expressing longings, deep desires, even discontents. These are whispers of 'life, and life abundantly' calling us to notice what we have not yet co-created with Him. They are not selfish. They are not too much. They are the divine light pointing us toward the fullness of life Jesus willingly came to give.

When we begin to trust these whispers, our questions shift again - What is my heart showing me about God's goodness and abundance? What longing has He planted that is waiting to be nurtured? If I allowed myself to get curious, what would I LOVE my life to look, feel and be like? This is where overflow begins, by daring to believe that your heart already knows the way.

Activation

Pause today and ask: What longing in my heart keeps resurfacing?

Instead of dismissing it, sit with it in prayer. Ask God, is this desire a signpost pointing to the abundance You are wanting to release in my life? Then let yourself enter into a conversation with Him about His thoughts towards you.

Prayer

Jesus, thank you for coming to give me life in its fullness. Teach me to trust the voice of my heart, knowing You are speaking through it. Amen
