When Trust Becomes Testimonyಮಾದರಿ

God is Near
“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18, NIV)
Pause what you are doing. Look around. Notice your breathing. God is here with you. Right now. He was with you when you woke up, and He’ll be with you throughout the day.
God is nearby. When we don’t experience the feeling of His nearness, we turn to His Word to remind us of the truth that He comes close. Closer than our next breath. He is the breath we breathe. And He has given us His Spirit who resides in us, praying on our behalf, bringing our pain and cries to His ears. When we call out in our distress, God is attuned to us. He is quick to hear and respond.
This is where God is. Here. With us. Watching us, responding, and wanting us to know how much He cares, how close He is, and how we can depend on Him to see our situations and move. Life circumstances may tempt us to believe He won’t come through, but we know the truth of our God. When we are brokenhearted, He is near, gentle, and loving. He is attentive, nearer than our next breath.
The truth for today is: God is near. We can call on Him. He hears the cries of His children.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You are here. Thank You that You are closer than I can imagine, and that You tune Your ear to my voice. Allow my heart to know Your nearness today. Amen.
Reflection Question:
How can you pause today to notice God’s presence with you?
