When Trust Becomes Testimonyಮಾದರಿ

When Prayers Seem Unanswered
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14, NIV)
When our prayers aren’t receiving a response, it can feel like it depends on us to get through something difficult. Because we haven’t seen or heard from God, it must be on us to machete our way out of the jungle, right? We pray and plead and get no relief. We are weary of battling and nothing is getting better.
What are we to do? This is something we can’t manage on our own, but our prayers seem unanswered, and God seems silent. Where is He? When will He show up?
God is already here. He is in the unseen. He is making a way. He is working behind the scenes and battling for us, taking up our cause. It isn’t up to us; it never was. The only thing we need to do is to step back and believe that God is moving. We can conserve our energy and rely on our Defender to champion our situation and look to Him to resolve things.
We want to find solutions, but trust may look like being still while He goes to work on our behalf.
The truth for today is: God is fighting for us. There is strength in our stillness.
Prayer:
Lord, when my prayers seem unanswered, help me hold on. Build my faith to see Your silence as part of Your plan. You will fight for me. Amen.
Reflection Question:
Where are you tempted to doubt God’s goodness because of silence? Hold fast to the promise that God is fighting for you.
