Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You so much for Your tremendous love for us. Your love motivated You to graciously pay the redemption cost our sins demand, reconciling us to God, and giving us the sure and blessed hope of everlasting life. These are tremendous gifts of Your grace given to us while we were yet sinners.

And yet, Your grace is even better.

Not only have You reconciled and redeemed us in the past and promised us eternity, but You also are at work RIGHT NOW in the lives of all who know You. You love us enough not to simply leave us struggling today, but in Your grace, You have also promised Your presence and Your power that encourage, inspire, equip and elevate us to obedient living today. Because of Your grace, we are no longer slaves to sin, but can walk in obedience to You. May we put to death daily, the deeds of our flesh, and present our bodies and minds to You as instruments of righteousness today. May Your Holy Spirit that dwells within us empower us to live the life You have called us to, and may we abide in You as we walk in dependent obedience all the days of our lives.

May we walk away from addiction, abusive behavior, manipulation, lies, jealousy, and more as we follow You and live for Your glory.

In Your empowering and life-giving name, we pray - AMEN
