Christmas is meekness
'This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.' (Luke 2:12, NIV)
Yesterday, we reflected on the long-awaited promise of the Messiah becoming a reality. Some assumed this Messiah would come as a great Warrior or conquering King. His coming as a tiny, helpless Baby may not have been on the radar of many.
The Almighty often uses the most unassuming to convey his message. Baby Jesus, meek and mild, is the epitome of his handiwork. It is a reminder to each of us never to count anyone out — not even yourself—in the proclamation of his gospel.

My Advent Journey is a personal look at your Christmas – how you prepare for and celebrate the coming of Christ. This journey will take place in four ways: • Look in – A time of introspection and listening, looking at your longing. • Step back – What is Christmas’ truest meaning? • Time out – How is God speaking to you? • Slow down – Stop and consider the soul work that needs to be done. So, take the journey…your own personal journey and may you find greater revelation and intentionality in your celebration of the coming of Christ
