While We Wait - Living in Expectancy for Christ's Return (For Women)ಮಾದರಿ

Day 17 – Rest While We Wait
In the parable of the ten bridesmaids, when the midnight call rang out, all of them woke up from their slumber and began trimming their lamps. But only the five wise were ready to go and meet the Bridegroom. Sis, while we wait, we will rest, we will sleep at night, take naps, and enjoy vacations. Yet, it’s important to remember that even in rest, we must remain spiritually ready. The key is not to be lulled into spiritual sleep by distractions, busyness, and sinful pleasures that overtake us. Rest naturally, but stay spiritually alert, so you can rise up ready when the trumpet sounds.
Reflection Questions:
1. How can you enjoy rest and relaxation without letting your spiritual alertness fade?
2. What distractions or worldly affairs most easily pull you away from being spiritually ready?
3. How can you cultivate habits that keep your lamp trimmed and your heart prepared for Christ’s return?
Closing Prayer:
“Lord, help me to rest physically without growing spiritually weary or distracted. Keep my heart and mind alert, and help me to remain ready so that I rise promptly when Your trumpet sounds. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
