Name Your Altarಮಾದರಿ

Naming the Place of Victory
Israel’s victory over Amalek wasn’t won by strategy or human strength. As long as Moses’ hands were lifted, God’s power prevailed. But when his arms grew tired, others came alongside to hold them up, and together they saw God’s strength bring deliverance. When the battle was over, Moses built an altar and named it: The Lord Is My Banner. He wanted the people to remember that victory didn’t come from their swords but from God’s covering and leadership.
You may not be fighting Amalek, but you’ve faced battles that seemed impossible: addictions, fears, doubts, or obstacles that towered over you. Think back to those times. How did you feel before you experienced victory over them? You might have been afraid, exhausted, or discouraged. Maybe you even felt like there was no way you could overcome it, but you did. And if you look back closely on those battles, you’ll see the real victory wasn’t by your own strength, but by God’s.
God shines in impossible situations. His creativity and power show up in extraordinary ways when we’re at the end of our strength. It might look like someone praying for you, standing with you, or lifting your arms in faith when you can’t anymore. God sends support and rescue in ways we could never predict. Our logic is no match for God’s strategy, and when we submit the battle to Him, our strength isn’t the limit of what’s possible.
Some victories deserve more than a high five and sigh of relief; they deserve an altar. They deserve a name. When God brings victory in your life, stop and mark the place. Testify to the God who fights for you, and raise your own banner in His name.
Make it personal
What banner do you need to raise today over a past victory in which God demonstrated His strength in your life? If you’re in a battle right now, let that past victory encourage your faith today and remind you that you’re not fighting this battle on your own. You can look ahead with confidence by looking back at that place of victory.

ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ

All throughout scripture, God’s people marked defining moments with altars, naming them to remember His provision, peace, and power. This 4-day plan invites you to do the same. As you reflect on Abraham, Moses, Gideon, and Samuel, you’ll be encouraged to see God’s faithfulness in your own story and mark the places where He’s met you.
