Choosing Oneness

Marriage is more than sharing a house and a last name. God calls us to oneness. Oneness is a daily choice to move toward each other, especially when it would be easier to drift.

God’s design for marriage invites us to leave, cleave, and become one. His Word shows us how.

Read His Word:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24 (ESV)

Pray His Word:
Father, help us choose oneness today. Show us where fear or pride keeps us apart. Knit our hearts together in love and peace. Teach us to move toward each other.

Live His Word:
Identify one small way to move toward oneness today: a gentle apology, a shared decision, or a 10-minute check-in.
