Maybe it's a relationship that feels beyond repair, a financial situation that keeps you awake at night, or a health crisis that has turned your world upside down. The Israelites knew that feeling as they stood between Pharaoh's army and an uncrossable sea.

But God specializes in impossible rescues.

The wonder doesn't stop there. Centuries later, the apostle Paul described Israel's passing through the sea, relating to it as a baptism. Their rescue from Egypt pointed forward to the greater rescue we have in Christ. Just as they left behind slavery and walked into new life with God, baptism marks our passing from death into life—set free to belong to Him alone.
