Made for More: 30 Days of Experiencing More Life, Love, and Freedomಮಾದರಿ

Day 29: Let’s Pray
Prayer is a vital part of living the experiential life of more—and not just any kind of prayer. The reinforcing, leaning in, authoritative kind of prayer is often best.
Prayer isn’t only about asking for things; it’s both our offense and our defense. It’s how we exercise the authority we’ve been given as Sons and Daughters of the King.
One of the greatest honors Jesus gave his friends was power and authority. After the resurrection, He spent time explaining to them how everything works—what had just taken place, and how they were now to live and carry it forward.
Through the cross, Jesus took back the authority Adam had lost. That’s why He begins the great commission in Matthew 28 by saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” And then—amazingly—He shares that authority with His disciples.
If you’ve got Jesus… you’ve got authority.
And the thing about authority? You’re going to have to use it. You’ll need to exercise it. Prayer becomes the way we express our alignment with God’s heart, declare truth over our enemies, proclaim heaven’s reality into our circumstances, and wield the power of God’s will on earth.
Prayer is not passive—it is powerful. It’s a way to push back darkness and partner with God to bring light. It’s how we declare the kind of life we intend to live: powerful and loving, the way Jesus lived. In sharing His authority, Jesus isn’t just honoring us—though it’s a great honor. He’s equipping us to walk as He did (1 John 2:6).
He arms us with His authority… because He knows we’re going to need it.
So, let’s pray…
Jesus, I sincerely embrace you as my authority and rule, my everlasting victory over Satan and his kingdom, and I receive all the work and triumph of your Ascension, whereby Satan has been judged and cast down, his rulers and authorities disarmed, all authority in heaven and on earth given to you, Jesus, and I have been given fullness in you, the head over all. I take my place in your Ascension, whereby I have been raised with you to the right hand of the Father and established with you in all authority. I bring your authority and your kingdom rule over my life, my family, my household, and my domain.
And now I bring the fullness of your work – your Cross, Resurrection, and Ascension – against Satan, against his kingdom, and against all his emissaries and all their work warring against me and my domain. Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. Christ has given me authority to overcome all the power of the evil one and I claim that authority now over and against every enemy, and I banish them in the Name of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, apply to me the fullness of the work of the Ascension of Jesus Christ for me. I receive it with thanks and give it total claim to my life.
As you reflect on all this with God today, consider asking Him:
Holy Spirit, how is this prayer impacting my prayer life?
Jesus, how can I wield prayer more as a weapon against the kingdom of darkness and take my place in your Kingdom as your Son or Daughter?
Father, is there one phrase or sentence that feels like it’s just for me today? Would You help me hear it clearly and understand why it matters?
