Genesis 1:27 - "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." (ESV)

Have you ever stopped to think deeply about why you are here? Not just why do you exist on earth, but specifically, why do you exist right now, in this moment, at this point in history? Many of us navigate our lives reacting to situations rather than actively living with purpose. But according to Scripture, your existence is not accidental; you were thoughtfully and intentionally crafted by God.

Genesis 1:27 reveals an incredible truth: we are made in God's image. This isn't just a nice thought or a poetic expression. It means something significant. Being created in God's image gives us inherent worth, dignity, and purpose. You reflect the very character and creativity of God. Think about that. You bear His likeness.

In practical terms, this means your life holds unique value. No matter your past mistakes, current struggles, or doubts about your future, your identity remains anchored in this fundamental truth: you are made by God and for God. Understanding this can dramatically shift how you view yourself and live each day.

Yet, it's easy to overlook this purpose amidst the noise and distractions of everyday life. Maybe you've let your value be defined by your job title, your achievements, or what others think of you. Perhaps you've forgotten that your greatest identity isn't found in what you do but in who made you.

Lord, thank You for creating me with a purpose. Help me embrace my identity in You and live today intentionally, reflecting Your character and love in everything I do. Amen.
