And What About Our Thoughts?
Philippians 4:7-8 (NIV)
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy---think about such things.”
We need to take care of and watch over our thoughts. The book of Philippians says that we must fill our minds with everything that is good, everything that pleases God. When a bad thought comes to torment us, we need to reprehend it and ask God for forgiveness, because He created our minds to bear good thoughts.
The Lord helps us to think and see only what He wants us to think and see. Our soul needs to be aligned with the Lord so that we may live a righteous life in Him!
Let’s pray to Him:
“Lord, take care of my soul, shield my mind and my heart. May my eyes see only what You want them to see, and may my mind think only what You want me to think! In Jesus’ name, amen!”
