TIME TO HEAL

Grief can be hard work and takes time. You may feel like you're working 24/7 to get some relief and healing. One of the healthiest ways to keep moving forward is to block off designated time for mourning. Clear an entire day on your calendar. Use the day to cry, laugh, write, go for a run, or whatever helps you unwind and feel refreshed.

You might want to:

- go somewhere quiet- a lake, beach, or mountains

- listen to music that you and your loved one listened to together

- create something. Paint, sing, draw, or write

- pray. Sit quietly and allow time to hear from the Lord, then write what you sense He's whispering to you

- watch a movie your person loved

- make or buy a meal that you enjoyed together

Chances are, after taking a day and restful night for yourself, you'll wake up feeling refreshed and stronger.

Reflect: Plan your day off. Let your boss, spouse, kids and friends know you're taking the day off. Then take it.

Losing a loved one can leave you anxious, confused, and even feeling a little bit crazy. The good news is you're not crazy. You're grieving. Author, Beth Marshall understands. After losing some of her favorite family members, she wasn't sure where to turn. She ultimately found great comfort through God's word and by writing straight through the valley until the light began to shine again. You're invited to grab a journal, reflect or write through the daily prompts, and allow the Lord to begin to heal your heart.
