Protocols, Postures and Power of Thanksgivingಮಾದರಿ

THANK THE SOURCE, THEN THE CHANNEL
To keep thanksgiving pure, separate the Source from the channels God uses. “Thine, O LORD, is the greatness… for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine… of thine own have we given thee” (1 Chronicles 29:11–14, KJV). Men, systems, and circumstances may carry the blessing, but God remains the Doer. When you treat the channel as the source, you misdirect honour and drain your gratitude of power. Believe that God exists and that He is involved in human affairs; then bring Him the first and best thanks. After that, thank the channels properly — accurately, promptly, and according to weight.
Also, refuse “silent thanksgiving.” Thanksgiving is a physical expression to the invisible God. Give it voice and form. The woman with the alabaster box broke her perfume openly, and the Lord established her act as a perpetual memorial (Matthew 26:13). Let your gratitude intimidate the devil and encourage the saints. Speak it in prayer, sing it in worship, testify in church, write it in a note, show up in person, or give a memorial seed — do not hide the faithfulness of God behind private feelings. Visible honour trains your heart, edifies others, and stamps the record of Heaven with your response.
Practically, make a two-step habit: first, acknowledge God as the Source — by words and a fitting offering; second, honour the channels — by message, visit, gift, or service. Keep your thanksgiving timely; stale thanks loses edge. Resist the temptation to explain away mercies as coincidence or competence. Say, “If the Lord had not helped me, I could not have come this far.” Then act like it — return with substance. I want you to cultivate thanksgiving that is theologically correct (Source-first), relationally accurate (channels honoured), and publicly edifying (memorialised in words and deeds).
THOUGHT TO PONDER: Where have I credited a channel instead of the Source, and how will I correct it today? What visible, timely act will memorialise my gratitude to God and honour those He used?
PRAYER: Lord, I acknowledge You as my Source. Receive my first and best thanks and help me honour every channel You used with accuracy and humility, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Bible urges us to give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thess. 5:18). Thanksgiving is very important, yet many miss the opportunity to practice it. Everyone has tasted God’s faithfulness; therefore, recognizing it makes thanksgiving deliberate and effective; it is your response to what He has done. Join us as we explore the subject of thanksgiving over the next 31 days.
