Rooted in Love, Strengthened by Grace

Paul writes Ephesians 3 from prison, yet his tone is one of wonder and purpose. He describes the mystery of the gospel—how God has united Jews and Gentiles into one body through Christ (Ephesians 3:6). Paul, the former persecutor, now sees himself as a servant of this grace (Ephesians 3:7–8). That’s what grace does—it redefines your identity and mission.

At the heart of the chapter is Paul’s prayer for believers to be strengthened in their inner being and rooted in love (Ephesians 3:16–17). He wants us to grasp how wide, long, high, and deep Christ’s love truly is (Ephesians 3:18). It’s not just information—it’s experience. Like Romans 5:5 reminds us, God pours His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Paul ends with praise to God, who is able to do far more than we ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). That same power is not distant—it’s active in your life right now.

Father, strengthen me from the inside out. I want to know—not just in my head, but in my heart—how much You love me. Root me deeply in Your love and fill me with the power to love and serve others for Your glory. Amen.
