Cultivating Good Soil: A 7-Day Journey Through the Parable of the Sowerಮಾದರಿ

Day 5: The Good Soil
Observation:
Jesus says the good soil is the one who hears the Word, receives it, and bears fruit, thirty, sixty, a hundredfold. This is a heart that’s been softened, deepened, and cleared. It’s humble. Rooted. Uncluttered. And here’s the truth: it doesn’t happen by accident. Good soil is cultivated. Maintained. Guarded. Even fruitful hearts need tending, because weeds try to creep in, and erosion is always a threat.
When I finally surrendered, at 35, I experienced what fruitfulness felt like. It wasn’t success by the world’s standards. It was peace. Clarity. Purpose. I wasn’t perfect, but my soil was ready, and the Word started to grow. That’s the invitation for every one of us. You don’t need to be flawless, just faithful.
Application:
What would it look like for you to become good soil? Are you willing to be humble, rooted, and available for God to grow something in you?
Prayer:
Lord, I want to be good soil. Help me to hear You, trust You, and follow You. Let my life bear fruit that glorifies You.
