30 Days of Prayer: A Call to Care for the World's Most Vulnerableಮಾದರಿ

Day 20: Prayer for Forgiveness and Reconciliation
Reflection: Forgiveness is one of the most challenging yet essential aspects of the Christian faith. For children who have been hurt, abused, or abandoned, the concept of forgiveness can seem impossible. Yet God calls us to forgive as He has forgiven us.
When we pray for forgiveness and reconciliation, we're asking God to heal wounded hearts and restore broken relationships. We're interceding for children who carry the burden of unforgiveness, for families torn apart by conflict, and for communities divided by hurt and mistrust. We're also praying for those who have harmed children, that they might experience genuine repentance and transformation. Forgiveness doesn't mean excusing harmful behavior or removing consequences. It means releasing the right to revenge and choosing to love despite being hurt. Reconciliation goes a step further: requiring repentance, changed behavior, and rebuilt trust.
Today, let us pray for the courage to forgive and the wisdom to seek reconciliation where appropriate. May we model God's forgiveness to children who need to learn both how to forgive and how to receive forgiveness.
