When we think of strength, our minds often go to physical power, such as the ability to lift, carry, or endure. And while the Proverbs 31 woman certainly works hard, her true strength runs deeper. It’s a strength of spirit that fuels her hands, her decisions, and her perseverance.

Her vigor isn’t just about productivity; it’s about purpose. She approaches her work with determination because she knows why it matters. Her confidence is rooted in God’s calling over her life, not in her own ability to keep going.

Life will always bring seasons that test our capacity. There are moments when the demands are greater than the energy we have. In those times, it’s tempting to push harder in our own strength, but that can leave us weary and discouraged. The Proverbs 31 woman reminds us that lasting strength doesn’t come from willpower; it comes from God.

When our spirit is fortified in Him, we can face our tasks, whether they’re exciting or exhausting, with a steady heart. That steadiness is what carries us through.

Strength in spirit allows us to work diligently without becoming consumed by the work itself. It helps us show up with joy, give our best effort, and trust God with the results.
