Don't Worry Be Happyಮಾದರಿ

The remedy for worry
This week we’re focusing on the theme Don’t Worry, Be Happy, based on Philippians 4:6-7 NIV:
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Today, we focus on the fourth part of this verse, “…and thank Him for all He has done.”
So, I want to propose a change in our theme, let’s make it: Don’t Worry, Be Thankful.
I admit, this doesn’t sound nearly as good in a song, but it is the key to a worry-free life!
Thanksgiving is important; it is mentioned over 150 times in the Bible.
One of my favourite examples of thanksgiving in the Bible is when Jesus gave thanks for the five loaves and two fish before breaking and multiplying them, turning them into a meal for over 5000 people (Matthew 14:19).
Jesus thanked God for His provision before He had provided.
That is one of the powers of thanksgiving; it releases faith that makes room for God to work. Make it a habit to thank God for answering your prayers, even before you can see it.
Another important effect of giving thanks is that it shifts our perspective from ourselves and our worries to the goodness of God.
And it’s not just spiritual—it’s scientific, too. Studies show that giving thanks is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness, positive emotions, improved health, dealing with adversity, and building strong relationships.
So, I encourage you to:
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV
Take a moment today to list all the things you are thankful for, and don’t forget to include the things that haven’t happened yet!
Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
