Reflection on the Book of Acts
The Book of Acts is the story of ordinary people filled with extraordinary power. After Jesus ascended to heaven, His followers didn’t retreat—they waited, prayed, and received the Holy Spirit. From that moment on, the Church was born, and the Gospel began to spread across the world. Acts shows us how the good news of Jesus moved from a small room in Jerusalem to cities and nations far beyond.
Through opposition, persecution, miracles, and growth, the early believers stayed faithful to the call of Jesus: to be His witnesses. Their boldness wasn’t based on comfort or status—it came from knowing who Jesus was, and being filled with the Spirit He promised.
Acts invites us to live with that same courage. It challenges us to pray boldly, speak truthfully, give generously, and love sacrificially. The mission isn’t over—the same Spirit that empowered the early Church is alive in us today.
