Overcoming Spiritual Disconnectednessಮಾದರಿ

Restoring Your First Love
When we first came to know Christ, our hearts burned with passion for Him. We eagerly read the Bible, prayed, and worshiped with joy. But over time, that fire can grow dim due to life’s pressures, distractions, or spiritual complacency. Sometimes we simply become lazy and without realizing it our hearts grow colder and colder.
Jesus calls us to return to our first love. He wants us to remember what it was like when we were first saved. Do you still remember the overflowing joy inside? The pursuit of doing what pleases Him? You can experience that again, but then you have to make room again for Him. Room to be quiet and focus on Him, room to worship and to pray about the things that trouble your heart.
Testimony
Sarah used to wake up early to spend time with God, but as life got busier she started skipping her quiet time. Over time, she felt spiritually numb. One day, she read Revelation 2:4-5 and realized that she needed to go back to what she once did—worshiping, praying, and reading Scripture daily. As she rekindled those habits, her love for God was restored.
Pray
Jesus, forgive me where I have neglected my times with You. I want to love You like I did at first. Renew my passion and desire for You. Help me to seek You wholeheartedly and restore my joy in Your presence. Amen.
