Heart of Worshipಮಾದರಿ

Worship & Relationship
As we move in our understanding of the heart of worship from revelation to response, we go deeper to the end goal of these two things: relationship.
Read: Matthew 22:37 (NIV)
William Temple’s definition of worship is relevant here: Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God. It is the quickening of the conscience by his holiness; the nourishment of mind with his truth; the purifying of imagination by his beauty; the opening of the heart to his love; the surrender of will to his purpose--all this gathered up in adoration, the most selfless emotion of which our nature is capable.
To put it simply, worship results in the adoration of God–or love for Him.
Without this relational aspect of love, worship is something done in obligation or fear, but because God is love and has called us to love Him, our worship can come from a deeply relational place.
This is why we can be confident that the heart of worship culminates in a relationship with God.
Today, take a moment to adore God. Give yourself space and time to dwell on His character and nature. Thank Him for his mercy, praise Him for his goodness, and exalt Him for His power.
Our prayer is that you would have a greater revelation of who God is, that you would respond to Him, and that ultimately, your relationship with Him would flourish.
