A Family on Mission

Before Jesus returned to heaven, he told his disciples to go and make disciples. That wasn’t a suggestion or something for the “super spiritual” people. It was the mission of the Church.

That mission is the same today as it was then.

We don’t just come to church to be encouraged. We come here to be equipped for the work of making disciples. When we know Jesus, we are called to help others know him, too.

That might look like praying with a friend who’s struggling, sharing your story with someone who’s searching, or simply being there for someone who’s never felt like they are valuable.

The early Church understood this. They didn’t stay hidden. They didn’t keep it quiet. They went out with boldness and love because people needed to know who Jesus was and what he’d done for them.

And the world still does.

But let’s be honest: committing to that mission can feel intimidating. Maybe you don’t feel qualified. Maybe you’re afraid of what people will think, or you’re not sure what to say.

That’s where the Holy Spirit comes in. He gives us boldness, not perfection.

This mission isn’t about having it all together. It’s about saying yes and trusting God to work through you.
