Heaven (Part 2)ಮಾದರಿ

Your Mindset Matters
Some say Christians can be ‘too heavenly minded to be of any earthly use,’ but true heavenly mindedness makes us more effective in the world, not less.
Paul reminds us, 'Set your minds on things above'(Colossians 3:2 NIV). That doesn’t mean ignoring reality, but living with eternity in view. When Heaven shapes our priorities, we focus on what really matters – loving God, serving others, and sharing His hope.
C.S. Lewis said it best: 'If you aim at heaven, you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither.'
Jesus lived this truth. He brought Heaven to Earth, feeding the hungry, healing the broken, and offering forgiveness. His life gave people a glimpse of Heaven, and He calls us to do the same.
James reminds us, 'faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead' (James 2:17 NIV). Being truly heavenly-minded means stepping into life’s challenges with God’s love, showing others the reality of eternity through kindness, generosity, and compassion.
Heaven isn’t just a destination, nor is it really a mindset! It’s a reality we carry.
Reflect
- How will you bring a touch of Heaven to someone today?
Pray
Lord, help me set my mind on things above while living with purpose here on Earth. Let Heaven shape my actions, filling me with love, compassion, and bold faith. Use me for Your glory. Amen.
