1 Peter & the Servant of Isaiah
One of the more compelling connections the Bible makes between the Old Testament and Jesus’ life and ministry is that between his Passion and the “Suffering Servant” of Isaiah 53. The fullest expression of this connection is found in the second half of the passage above, in 1 Peter 2:22-25. Peter’s reference to the Isaiah passage is mapped in the table below.
