What Does It Mean To Say Yes To Jesus?
There are a lot of ways people describe saying yes to Jesus. You may hear people use phrases like “committing your life to Jesus”, “becoming a Christian”, “getting saved”, “being born again”. But what does it really mean to follow Jesus?
We say yes to Jesus by believing and acknowledging that He chose to die for us and recognising our need of Him. But it doesn’t end there. We also believe that because of His resurrection, we can know that He wasn’t just an ordinary man but God’s Son, bringing the good news of a new life with God.
Having made a decision to say yes to Jesus, you can be confident that you are part of God’s family. Just like Jesus tells us in John 10:27-30, we can be confident that when we say yes to Jesus, we are secure in Him and no one and nothing can take us away from Him.
