Pentecost Changed Everythingಮಾದರಿ

The Holy Spirit in You
Yesterday, you read why the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost was such a monumental event and what happened when the disciples walked in His power: miracles, signs, and explosive growth!
The Holy Spirit did not come only to be poured out on the disciples at Pentecost, but to fill every believer with His power and boldness. This means that if you have accepted Jesus, you too can live in the power of the Holy Spirit every day.
Acts 1:8
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
The Holy Spirit helps you be a powerful witness for Jesus. He enables you to walk in God’s supernatural works, just as Jesus did. The Bible teaches that casting out demons and healing the sick should be part of every believer's daily life.
Mark 16:17-18
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
The Holy Spirit wants to walk with you daily and help you show Jesus' love and power to the world (Galatians 5:22-23). He is eager to guide you in the truth and show you the way you should go (John 16:13). He helps you hear God's voice and equips you with spiritual gifts to serve others and make God's Kingdom visible on earth (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). You have access to that precious promise that the prophets and Jesus spoke about — what a privilege!
Are you unsure whether you have been filled with the Holy Spirit, like the disciples were? Ask Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit by praying this prayer aloud:
"Father God, thank You for promising me the baptism with the Holy Spirit, that I may be filled with the Holy Spirit because I have become Your child in Christ Jesus. You say in Your Word that You give the Holy Spirit when we ask You for it, and that it is Your Son Jesus who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. I now ask You, Lord Jesus, baptize me with the promise of the Father. Baptize me now with Your Holy Spirit. Fill me as You have promised. Just like the disciples at Pentecost, I receive by faith at this very moment 'tongues of fire.' Speak through me, Holy Spirit. I will be clothed with supernatural power from on high, so that I may perform wonders and signs in Your Name and be a powerful witness of the Gospel of Your Kingdom. In Jesus' Name. Amen."
Did you know that one of the signs of being filled with the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues? Curious about what that really means? Then dive into our Bible plan: “Speaking in Tongues!”
Romans 8:26
“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
Reflection:
How can you be a bold witness of Christ in your surroundings?
