Learning to Prayಮಾದರಿ

Confession
"Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity … and you forgave the guilt of my sin" (Psalm 32:5).
While it is helpful to study different Fields of Prayer we must always beware of the temptation to treat Prayer as a system for getting what we want.
As if God is a vending machine; press the right button, get what you came for!
Prayer is always rooted in relationship and fellowship … "Our Father in heaven …" (Matthew 6:9).
So whenever our fellowship with the Father has been disrupted through what we have thought, said, done, or failed to do, we must acknowledge our sin to Him and ask forgiveness because:
if we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
And then we must hold tenaciously to the promise of Scripture that:
"there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1).

The many, many different forms of Prayer are like Fields on a large Farm. You and I are like a farmer living in the center of the Farm. As we pray we move from Field to Field, from one type of Prayer to another. We go into some Fields every day, others only occasionally. Come and join us in this Devotion as we explore what that might look like as we learn to pray together.
