Submission to Authority

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Romans 13:1

Lord Jesus,

My son needs wisdom and self-control to submit to the laws of our country and community. Help him to trust that boundaries are for his good, to protect him from harm. Let him show respect to police officers and public servants. Reward him with a reputation for integrity and maturity. Use him as an example of obedience among his peers. Thank You for caring for him through our leaders. Amen.
