Praying From the Gospelsಮಾದರಿ

Jesus Christ Forgives Sins
“Then Jesus said to her, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’” (Luke 7:48 NIV)
Prayer
Lord Jesus, all glory to Your great name! Glory to God in the highest! King of the world, You were sent to save us from the beginning.
You left the heavenly realms where all the angels sing Your praises. You humbled Yourself, taking the form of a child, wrapping Yourself in a cloak of humanity, so we could not see Your deity. You walked among us, You taught us your truth and exposed our self-exalting ways.
God of heaven, You bore the sins of the people You made. What amazing grace! What amazing mercy! What amazing love!
Not because we are so good, or so faithful, or so worthy, but because You are so good, so faithful, and so worthy!
Lamb of God, slain for the sins of the world, may we bow low, washing Your nail-scarred feet with our tears, drying Your feet with our hair.
God of creation, You redeemed the world with Your own blood. King of heaven, You absorbed the penalty for the rebellion of humanity.
Jesus Christ is the One who pays for my sins, the One who forgives my sins.
Glory to God in the highest!
Peace on earth to those on whom His favor rests!
Peace with God, for my sins no longer separate me from my Creator.
Peace with God. Peace now and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
