Reflection: Jesus is God, yet did not hold onto that power and authority. Instead, He took on human form and died for us. How can you demonstrate this level of humility in leadership today?
Prayer Focus: Thank Jesus for His humility and sacrifice. Ask Him to help you reflect His example in your life.

James and John enticed their mother to ask Jesus if they could rule with Him. Jesus took the disciples aside and said, "Gentile leaders lord it over their subjects, not so with you." He was illustrating that leadership in the Kingdom of God would be different. As men, we are called to lead, but we must focus our attitudes toward humility and servanthood. The more we focus on humility, the more we act like Jesus Christ. Participate in these mandates with friends who can hold you accountable as you focus on developing yourself into a Godly man.
