Prayers for My Husbandಮಾದರಿ

A Prayer for Perspective
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
Psalm 9:1
Talk to God
Lord, it’s easy to focus on what we think You’re not doing rather than what You are doing or have done. I ask You to grow gratitude in my husband’s heart. Help him use the challenges and pain in his life as a way to take a closer look at how You’re actually at work in him. Instead of just noticing things, help him to speak words of praise and thanks to You aloud, praising You for all the amazing things You’ve done. Give him Your perspective, so he can see things he might be missing right now. Give him Your heart, so he can understand things that might not make sense yet. And give him Your hope, so he can trust that You’re working in the background. Help him marvel at all the things You’ve done and are still doing. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Think
Are you using pain and hardships in life as a prompt to look for how God might be working? Are you praising God and thanking God each and every day?
Take Action
Right now, praise God for who He is to you: “God, I praise You because You are (my comforter, my provider, my hope, my rest, my joy, my peace, etc.).” This will help bring a heart of gratitude to your marriage.
