Recall a difficult season in your life when someone showed up for you. Take a moment to thank God for that person and open yourself to today’s reading.

Through Ruth’s loyalty, Naomi finds a new season of joy as she cares for Ruth’s child, Obed. Even when we feel we have nothing to give, God can use our willingness to be present, bringing hope to our lives and others’.
