God’s Covenant of Love

"therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments" - Deuteronomy 7:9.

The Promise: My God will keep His covenant of love to me.

Know this: the LORD your God is steadfast and true. He is faithful from the beginning to the end of time and sees every one of your days before they come to be. God is loving, and He longs to be gracious to you. This is His promise, to hold you in the palm of His hand and give you grace upon grace. You can take refuge in Him, and you can tell Him about all that makes you fearful. His love will soothe your pain.

Try This: Pet a puppy

Animals have a way of lowering our anxiety and bringing a natural comfort to our bodies and minds. Take a few minutes and sit and stroke the silky fur of your four-legged friend. If you don’t have a dog, find a friend or neighbor who does and ask if you can have a little play time. These loyal companions will give you a love that goes deep within.
